Child Movement, Activity, & Developmental Health Laboratory
The Child Movement, Activity, & Developmental Health Laboratory studies three areas of childhood development: motor skill acquisition, physical activity, and physical health and development in children between the ages of 3 and 8 years. We inves-tigate the developmental process of motor skill acquisition along with the underlying factors that shaped or are influenced by a child’s ability to move. We also seek to promote positive physical development through the implementation of evidence-based interventions. The goal of our research is to motivate children to move and ensure that they enter school healthy, active, and ready to learn.
