The Health and Fitness Workshop is held annually, on the first Friday in December, for K-12 health and fitness educators. The goal of these workshops is to provide ready-to-implement ideas and practices teachers can take right back to their classroom in the areas of health, physical education, recreation, sports and athletics, dance, professional development, and adapted activity. Participants attend 4, hour long sessions, and the keynote presentation. Lunch may be ordered during the registration process, to be delivered during the keynote presentation.
This year, the workshop will take place Friday, December 7, 2018, from 8:30am-2:30pm.
Our panel of U-M coaches will discuss women in sports, tips on how to successfully coach young women, the development of Title IX, specific challenges they've encountered, and the progress seen in women's sports throughout the years.
