Winter-Start Programs

The School of Kinesiology offers two winter-term admissions programs for incoming first-year students. A winter term start gives students the opportunity to explore professional and research opportunities before beginning their undergraduate studies, and then participate in an exclusive summer experience during their first year on campus.

Movement & Applied Exercise Science (MAES) Winter Cohort

The MAES winter cohort class schedule follows an academic model specifically developed to fulfill movement science (MVS) and applied exercise science (AES) core requirements. MAES creates a unique academic experience that allows for more integration of content across courses, including an exclusive summer educational experience in partnership with Michigan Athletics, offered only to MAES winter cohort students.
