Applied Exercise Science Honors Program

The AES Honors Program offers exceptional undergraduate students the opportunity to deepen their scholarly engagement through advanced coursework, independent research, and faculty mentorship. This program fosters academic curiosity, leadership, and professional growth within a vibrant community committed to excellence in applied exercise science. Honors scholars are prepared for competitive graduate programs and impactful careers in the health sciences, rehabilitation, performance, and wellness.

Tracks

This program offers a unique opportunity to conduct original research and receive 1:1 faculty mentorship. We are offering two tracks:

  • Standard Honors: 2-year commitment (sophomores/class of 2028)
  • Senior Thesis: 1-year expedited track (juniors/class of 2027)
     

Ready to learn more?

To receive the program application and the "Mentor Menu" (a list of faculty currently accepting students), you must attend one of the following info sessions:

  • March 24 @ 5:00 p.m.
  • March 25 @ 11:30 a.m.
  • March 26 @ 8:30 a.m.
  • March 30 @ 9:00 a.m.
  • March 31 @ Noon

All sessions take place in SKB 1030 and last 30 minutes. If you cannot attend any of these sessions, you must schedule a 1:1 meeting with Dr. Kinnett-Hopkins before you can apply.

Final applications are due April 9.
