Description

This course is an introduction to sports analytics. For our purposes, we can define this as the application of statistical methods to understanding sports performance and results. The principal aim of this course is to enable you to generate performance analyses of sports players and teams using platforms such as R or Jupyter Notebook.

This elective is specific to the SM Policy & Analytics Path (Path 2). All students must take at least three credits that are specific to their undeclared track.

Enforced: (SOC 210 or STATS 250 or STATS 280 or 400-level STATS course) and SM 238, SM 241, SM 249, SM 330, SM 331 and SM 450
