Location, Driving Directions, and Parking

The Kinesiology Career Fair will be held at the School of Kinesiology Building, located at 830 N. University Ave., Ann Arbor, MI 48109.

As on many large campuses, parking is challenging and extremely limited. Whenever possible, we strongly suggest the use of rideshare services (e.g. Uber, Lyft, Taxi).

We recommend parking at the Maynard Parking Structure, located at 324 Maynard St., Ann Arbor, MI 48104. It's a four-minute walk to the Kinesiology Building.

Your registration includes one complimentary parking voucher per employer, which you will receive at check-in.

Career Fair Registration

Students do not need to register for the Kinesiology Career Fair. Bring your MCard to expedite the check-in process or have your student ID number easily accessible.

Interacting with Employers

The Kinesiology Career Fair is a great chance to network and share your skills, but you likely won’t leave the fair with a job or internship offer. Ask recruiters about the next steps in their recruiting process and stay connected with organizations of interest to you.

Please note: The listings included are provided because of their potential interest to the School of Kinesiology and U-M community. Inclusion of a listing does not imply the School of Kinesiology's endorsement of the particular external program or opportunity described.

What to Wear

Business casual to business professional attire is highly encouraged. Options include:

  • Dress slacks or skirt
  • Button-up shirt and tie
  • Blouse
  • Suit jacket or blazer
  • Full business suit
  • Please no ripped jeans, hoodies, shorts, or bare midriffs. Remember, you are representing Michigan!

If you plan to drop in between classes, khaki or dress pants with a Michigan polo or blouse is acceptable.

Need help building your professional dress closet? The University Career Center offers a professional Clothes Closet. For more information, please visit careercenter.umich.edu/content/clothes-closet.

What to Bring

  • A practiced, polished, relevant professional pitch delivered with a welcoming, confident smile.
  • Multiple copies of your resume. Resume paper is available from Kinesiology Career Development, located in the Office of Student Affairs (suite 2300).
  • A folder for carrying your resumes and any informational materials from organizations.

It is in your best interest to leave valuables (backpack, computer, etc.) at home.

If you have any questions, please email [email protected].

Accommodations

We want to ensure full and equitable participation at the Kinesiology Career Fair. If an accommodation would promote your full participation in this event, please contact Alicia Schuster ([email protected]) or Kelli Kearly ([email protected]) to indicate your accommodation requirements.
