Q: Out of everything you're working on right now, what are you most excited about and why?
A: Implementing our new customer relations management system up and running. This will allow all the student and employer information to be housed in one central location.
Q: What's one thing about your work that might surprise people or that people might not know much about?
A: That I am certified to administer the MBTI
Q: What's the most meaningful or satisfying aspect of your work?
A: I love working with our students and seeing them go from a freshman who is unsure about their journey to a senior who is confident and ready to graduate and move on to the next step in their life.
Q: How do you balance your time between the demands of your work and personal life?
A: I derive a lot of pleasure being with people and am a very social person. I play pickleball 2-3 times a week, in the summer I'm on a golf league, I have a monthly book club and spend time with my grown children when their schedules permit.
Q: What's your favorite thing about our school and why?
A: The students for sure. I also work with a great team of people that make coming to work fun.
Q: Which states and/or countries have you lived in? Which was your favorite, and why?
A: I've only ever lived in Michigan. I love the change of seasons, access to the great lakes, snowmobiling or skiing in the winter, hiking and biking in the warmer months — all of that makes it a great state to live in.
Q: If you could go on vacation anywhere, where would it be and why?
A: I am in the process of checking off my bucket list trips. Last year I went to Alaska, and this summer I am going to Madeira, Portugal. The next one will probably be to go to Wimbledon.
Q: What's one fun or surprising thing about you?
A: This year I bought an electric car — an EV6, which I love, and I have an electric bike that I ride to work from May to October.
Q: Who are the special people in your life?
A: My husband, Joe, my two daughters, Morgan (27) and Sydney (25), my fur baby Chance, and my BFF and travel companion Kim C.
Q: What's one thing you'd like to brag about (personally or professionally)?
A: My kids! I am super proud of them and love to see how they have grown and matured and what truly amazing humans they've become. My oldest daughter (Morgan) is in the process of completing an MBA and works in the banking industry, and my youngest daughter (Syd) graduates this spring with a dual MBA/SM degree.
I love working with our students and seeing them go from a freshman who is unsure about their journey to a senior who is confident and ready to graduate and move on to the next step in their life.
