Washington specializes in helping women of color with pregnancy pain

Dr. Kamaria Washington (MVS '17) specializes in providing pelvic floor therapy and help with other pregnancy complications at her Oak Park, Michigan, practice.

Dr. Kamaria Washington (MVS ’17) shares with the Detroit Free Press how her practice is helping fill in some of the maternal health gaps for women of color struggling with pelvic pain and other pregnancy complications. In addition to providing pelvic floor therapy, she uses the power of social media and her following on Instagram to answer medical questions and help connect mothers with different maternal and infant care providers and services.
