Dr. Ketra Armstrong, professor of Sport Management and the director of the Center for Race and Ethnicity in Sport, is quoted in the Diverse Issues in Higher Education article "Overlooked Accomplishments of African American Athletes Receive New Attention." She discusses the impact of Major League Baseball's decision to promote seven professional Negro Leagues that operated between 1920 and 1948 to Major League status.
