Concussion research and resources get student athletes back to play
High school communities show appreciation for U-M Concussion Center partnership.
The Michigan Concussion Center and the Michigan High School Athletic Association formed a partnership five years ago with a focus on removing concussion misinformation and ultimately promoting the well-being of student-athletes. That partnership continues to grow and has more recently proven to be a valuable and critical relationship for coaches, parents, and administrators when recognizing and treating student-athlete injuries.
Catherine Vick, a 10th grader at Paw Paw High School shares her experience with concussion in cheer and how her coaches were able to take appropriate action because of the training they received and resources provided by the Michigan Concussion Center.
