Student Send-Off

Congratulations, Class of 2020!

We wish we were congratulating you in-person today at Hill Auditorium. Instead, we're virtually sending you our warmest wishes from across the country. Although the global pandemic has disrupted many things, it does not diminish your amazing accomplishments or the hard work you put in to achieve them. Today, we celebrate you.

A special thank you to Jon Paley (Kines ‘95) and The Vault team for creating our video. Read Jon's message to graduates.

We encourage you to take some time over the next few days to virtually celebrate this milestone with your classmates, friends, and loved ones.

  • Add special U-M frames, filters, and animated stickers to your social media posts at
  • On Saturday, May 2, join the university for a full day of virtual activities, from photos and videos to music to special guests. Visit to learn more.

Based on your feedback from our survey earlier this month, we will plan to have an in-person commencement ceremony on campus once it’s safe to do so, likely in Spring 2021. Please stay tuned for more information in the months ahead.

Well done, Wolverines – we’re proud of you. Apart for now, but forever together. GO BLUE!
