Description
This course examines the business of college sports from the economic perspective, including the economics of university decision making, revenues and expenses, competitive balance, and the efforts by athletic departments, through the NCAA, to reallocate value created by athletes who are students.
This elective is specific to the SM Policy & Analytics Path (Path 2). All students must take at least three credits that are specific to their undeclared track.
Prerequisites
Enforced: (STATS 250 or STATS 280 or SOC 210 or 400-level STATS course) and SM 238 and SM 241 and SM 249 and SM 330 and SM 331.
