Parking in Ann Arbor
Parking in Ann Arbor can be a challenge, especially on Football Saturdays, during Commencement, and during Art Fair in July. Sites to help you decide where to park:
Ann Arbor City Buses
Ann Arbor's city bus service, AATA, has a comprehensive route network and four Park and Ride lots where commuters can park their cars for free and shuttle to campus. AATA also offers RideTrak and Mobile RideTrak, so that you can view the location and status of the bus you're waiting for.
Buses serving both the Kinesiology Building/CCRB and Observatory Lodge include: 1U, 2, 4, 9U, 12UL, 12UM, and 14.
The closest AATA bus stops to the Kinesiology Bldg. and CCRB are the CC Little Building (corner Church St. and North University Ave.) and Forest Hill Cemetery (corner of Observatory St. and North University Court)
The closest AATA bus stop to Observatory Lodge is normally in front of Mosher Jordan Hall. However, with construction on the dormitory scheduled to continue through August 2008, stops vary depending on the bus route. Tell your driver that you need to get off at the stop nearest Observatory Lodge, which is on the southeast corner of Observatory and Washington Heights.
Fare: free for U-M students and staff with valid U-M id. Others — $1.00 each way.
During the Fall and Winter semesters, AATA's bright purple Link buses also connect campus with downtown. No charge!
