“The services available through the Kinesiology Career Resource Center helped me build my resume and get my foot in the door for summer internships.”
Jeff -- Sport Management '10
Dix Hills, NY

Jeff studies sport management in preparation for law school.

What are your career plans after graduation?
I plan on attending law school or possibly a JD/MBA program. Since I want to become a sport/entertainment agent, having a law degree and/or an MBA will be important to my success.

How has Kinesiology impacted you?
Kinesiology has impacted me in numerous ways. The most important would have to be the faculty's commitment to my personal success.

I never thought at the college level I would find faculty that was so helpful and dedicated to helping me succeed in everything I do. The faculty is so caring that it motivates me to do my best so I don't reflect poorly on them.

How has Kinesiology prepared you?
From resume workshops to career advice, being in Kinesiology has prepared me for what lies before me post-graduation. The services available through the Kinesiology Career Resource Center helped me build my resume and get my foot in the door for summer internships. I am always up to date with internship opportunities both on- and off-campus from frequent emails from the Student Services staff.

Where do you see yourself in ten years?
In ten years I see myself as either a high-powered sport / entertainment agent living in NY or LA or possibly the Chief Marketing Officer of a sport organization or marketing firm.
