Why did you choose to study Sport Management and Business Administration at U-M?
As a student interested in studying business in a sport aspect, I wanted to attend a university that was highly influential in the world of sport. I chose to attend the University of Michigan not only because of its high academic reputation, but also because of its influence on professional and collegiate athletics. Because of what U-M is able to offer its students, graduates represent the university and achieve success at the highest levels of sport.

What are your future career plans?
After finishing my undergraduate degree I plan to attend law school and possibly obtain an MBA after work experience. I would like to pursue a career as a sports agent or in sports marketing. I am very interested in marketing and how it can be used to develop a brand, company, or an athlete.

What advice do you have for prospective students?
Do what you want to do. Don’t let anything but yourself dictate what you want to study and achieve in your lifetime. When I entered the University of Michigan I was told it was impossible to graduate with a Sport Management and Business degree. Now I am studying in both Kinesiology and the Business school and studying exactly what I came to the University of Michigan to study. Anything is possible at U-M so do what you want to do.

What extra-curricular activities are you involved in at U-M?
On campus I am a member of the planning committee for Relay for Life. Within Kinesiology I am a Peer Mentor and Peer Advisor for incoming freshman. I am also a member of the Sport Business Association. During my summer between freshman and sophomore year I completed an internship with PRISM, a JWT and WPP agency that does public relations & international sports marketing.
