What are your future career plans?
Once I graduate, I plan to continue my education and pursue a Masters in Business Administration. After graduate school I would like to work in corporate marketing, as well as community relations, for a sports arena. After working in these two areas of the field and gaining the proper experience and connections, I want to open up a non-profit organization for children of all backgrounds.
Having just completed your freshman year, can you describe your transition to campus life?
My transition to college was not as difficult as I thought it would be. When I first arrived at U-M I was very apprehensive as to whether or not I would fit into the culture, but within a few weeks I felt right at home and now I cannot imagine myself at another college or university.
What extra-curricular activities are you involved in at U-M?
I am involved in a few extra-curricular activities here on campus. I am in the Black Volunteer Network (BVN), the Sport Business Association (SBA), Kinesiology Ambassadors, and I have an internship with the Athletic Marketing Department. My involvement in these activities did not hinder my grades, but has actually helped them.
