Open Faculty Positions

Tenure-track faculty positions in four areas (Biomechanics, Exercise Physiology, Neuroscience, and Sport Management) are currently open within the University of Michigan School of Kinesiology. Click on each corresponding link to read the full description and to apply.

Candidates will be expected to maintain a robust, ongoing research program, teach undergraduate and graduate courses, and have the research expertise appropriate for the effective mentoring of trainees at the undergraduate, doctoral, and post-doctoral levels in their area. Successful candidates will be expected to maintain extramural funding for an active research program at the University of Michigan.

  • Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor of Biomechanics. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Kinesiology or a field applicable to biomechanics, such as engineering.   • Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor of Exercise Physiology. We have particular interest in candidates whose research program focuses on elucidating fundamental biological mechanisms and/or integrative physiological factors that underlie the health benefits of exercise. Specific areas of interest include, but are not limited to, brain function and plasticity; neuromotor control and learning; physical activity, injury, disability, and/or rehabilitation.
