Sean Pradan (PhD '17) and Matthew Nagy (BS '17) were recently honored with National Scholar Awards by the American Kinesiology Association (AKA).
Sean Pradhan earned AKA's Doctoral Scholar Award. He recently defended his doctoral thesis, "How You Like Me Now? The Influence of Athlete Behavior on Fan Group Dynamics and Sports Consumption." Dissertation committee chair was his mentor, Sport Management associate professor Dae Hee Kwak, and Sean is a member of Dr. Kwak's Center for Sport Marketing Reseach. This spring Sean was also honored with U-M School of Kinesiology's Paul A. Hunsicker Memorial Award.
Matthew Nagy received an AKA Undergraduate Scholar Award. Mentored by assistant professor of Health and Fitness and Movement Science Rebecca Hasson, Matthew has been an active member of her Childhood Disparities Research Laboratory (CDRL). At Kinesiology Commencement April 27, he was recognized for having completed an Undergraduate Movement Science Honor Thesis, "Affective Responses to Intermittent Physical Activity in Normal Weight and Overweight/Obese Elementary School-Age Children."
