Plan Your Own Adventure

The Center for Global Opportunities has developed a resource list that describes an array of available international experiences, including studying, volunteering, interning and working abroad. Resources span options available through the U-M campus and include links to external organizations, among them several umbrella organizations with comprehensive databases that will help you pinpoint the best opportunity for your individual needs. Additional materials available at the GoGlobal site at www.ctools.umich.edu, accessible to anyone with a umich.edu email account (how to join a CTools site). Finding an opportunity that best fits your individual needs requires careful research and advance planning. Plan to spend time reviewing this information over a weekend or extended break, then stop by and meet with the International Program Coordinator Sandy Wiley to get any additional help you need.

“Today, the defense of U.S. interests, the effective management of global issues, and even an understanding of our Nation's diversity require ever-greater contact with, and understanding of, people and cultures beyond our borders.”
— Former President William J. Clinton
