How did you find this program? |
U-M Office of International Programs |
Courses taken: |
Body, Text & Performance (a theatre studies course), History of Sexualities, Intro to Media & Communications, and
Australia Now (a crash course in Australian history and politics). |
Would you recommend this program? |
Absolutely. Melbourne is an absolutely beautiful city with plenty to do without the feeling of being cramped in a big city. There are beautiful parks throughout the city and a great walk along the Yarra river. |
Advice: |
Sign up for as many of the ISOP (International Student Outdoors Program) trips the first week of classes as you can. They are all absolutely amazing and the best trips of my life. Also, don't live in College Square — it is expensive and has minimal facilities, and you can get a much better place, with better roommates usually for over half the price. |
Fluency required? |
They speak English. |
Will this help you in your profession? |
This semester has helped get all of my general elective credits taken care of, but has also helped me grow as a person and really examine what I want to do and that I made the right choice with Kinesiology. |
Comments: |
I am having the time of my life, and it seems like every weekend just seems to make it that much better, whether I am rock climbing, kayaking, surfing, camping, or hiking. It is starting to make me think not so much of missing home but how much I will miss this when I finally get home.
