Areas of Interest

Short Description: physical education, children, elementary & secondary education, first aid, safety education

"I have a special interest in the role physical education plays in children's development. As Director of KidSport, U-Meet the Athlete, and U-Go Girls, it's a joy to witness not only a child's physical development, but his or her social and emotional development as well. I enjoy watching them learn to share, take turns, and develop confidence -- growing stronger in many ways.

"As a teacher of future physical education teachers, I hope to make my students aware of their potential to be catalysts for positive change as they consider their future roles in schools' and communities' physical education and recreation programs."
