Areas of Interest

Short Description: Preparation of physical education teachers.

With increasing emphasis on the preparation of "highly qualified teachers" by colleges and university teacher education programs, it seems a logical approach to determine if there is a good match between the skills students learn at the university, and the skills needed to succeed in the student teaching experience. My research focus is on teacher preparation, from both the perspective of the cooperating teacher, and the student teacher.
