Areas of Interest

Short Description: Exercise, nutrition, metabolism, and weight control

Professor Katch has done extensive research in the area of body composition, nutrition, exercise and weight control, and is the author of Exercise Physiology, the most widely used textbook in the field. He also does research in the area of energy metabolism and exercise in adults and adolescents. He holds an appointment in the Section of Pediatric Cardiology, Department of Pediatrics and is associated with the Pediatric Exercise Physiology Laboratory in that department.
