We've been busy all winter planning our 2018 KidSport Summer Camp! Registration opens February 20, 2018.

About KidSport Summer CampS


KidSport Summer Camps at Scarlett Middle School offer children ages 4-13 the opportunity to learn and play a variety of team sports, individual sports, team building games, fitness and other physical education activities, along with swimming lessons, in a non-competitive and fun sports environment. The activities are age-appropriate and developed by experts in children’s physical education. Kidsport Summer Camps are staffed by certified teachers, Health & Fitness and Education majors, University of Michigan students and athletes, and other highly qualified individuals focused on providing a first-rate experience for your kids!

  • Before Camp Care - $25/week, available 7:00-8:00am. Parents may drop off campers for pre-camp activities and games, supervised by KidSport staff.
  • KidSport Mornings (ages 4-13) - $159/week, 8:00am-noon. Campers are grouped by age, and rotate between different stations all morning. They'll enjoy a variety of team sports, individual sports, team building games, fitness and other physical education activities, and swimming lessons. This is a very active and action packed morning!
  • KidSport Summer Fun Afternoons (ages 4-6) - $139/week, 1:00-4:00pm. Each week offers a different fun-filled theme for our younger campers. Kids will engage in different team sports, activities, swimming lessons/free swim, and art projects relating to the theme.  We've planned all new Summer Fun curriculum and can't wait to implement it this summer!

    • Week 2 - Superhero
    • Week 3 - World of Sports
    • Week 4 - Beach Sports
    • Week 5 - Amazing Race
    • Week 6 - Space Odyssey
    • Week 7 - Exploration
    • Week 8 - Olympics
  • KidSport Athletics Afternoons (ages 7-13) - $139/week, 1:00-4:00pm. Each week features a different sport teaching basic fundamentals skills, rules, team building and sportsmanship, and swimming lessons.
    • Week 1 - Tennis & Golf
    • Week 2 - Baseball or Softball
    • Week 3 - Tennis & Golf
    • Week 4 - Football or Volleyball
    • Week 5 - Tennis & Golf
    • Week 6 - Soccer or Field Hockey
    • Week 7 - Tennis & Golf
    • Week 8 - Basketball or Cheer
  • After Camp Care - $50/week, available 4:00pm-6:00pm. Supervised by KidSport staff, campers can choose between quiet games, activities,  or a movie. Games and activities offered will change daily! Free play is encouraged.

KidSport strives to ensure as many children as possible are given the opportunity to enjoy our summer camp. Throughout the year, we offer KidSport Clinics to raise money for the Jeff Reese KidSport Scholarship Fund. We are proud to offer scholarships to children who receive free/reduced meals, or meet specific HUD income guidelines. The Jeff Reese KidSport Scholarship is designed to assist families with children meet the cost of the KidSport Summer Camps program. Scholarships are awarded based on the evaluation of the information, and how much we were able to raise during the year.
