Information for Prospective Employers
Information about Kinesiology
Kinesiology is an academic unit at the University of Michigan consisting of four majors: Movement Science, Sport Management, Athletic Training, and Physical Education. All of our students complete a public speaking course and two writing courses including Argumentative Writing. They have strong written and oral communication skills. Students are required to complete a general psychology course and courses in Humanities, Natural Science, and Social Science, which give them a strong liberal arts background, as well. While completing their major related coursework, most of our students gain hands-on experience in their field through research, integrated classroom experiences, service learning, field work and internships.
Visit our Academics section for information on each of the Kinesiology majors.
