Welcome to Kinesiology Advancement

The Kinesiology Advancement staff serves as the gateway to Kinesiology for Kinesiology alumni, friends and donors. We are interested in creating a higher visibility for our alumni, maintaining a stellar image of Kinesiology, and introducing our current students to both areas.

We work in concert on a number of special events that include Homecoming Weekend, the Recent Alumni Reunion, the 50th Anniversary Reunion, and the annual Movement for Life Invitational. Movement magazine is published twice a year to update you on the activities of Kinesiology and for you to share your alumni news and accomplishments.

Alumni Relations is responsible for maintaining an open avenue of communication with our Kinesiology alumni, and we reach out to create a strong network of alumni who are committed to making their alma mater stronger. We are proud of our alumni, and we welcome the opportunity to recognize their achievements, and to share that information within the network and with the public. If you have moved recently contact the Alumni Records Office (or call 734 647-6190 weekdays between 9:00am and 4:00pm) to update your address. Or, if you are a member of the U-M Alumni Association, you can update your information on the Association's Online Alumni Directory. If you have questions about updating your address or contact information, please email dev.ARO@umich.edu.

The role of Advancement is to bridge the gap between the vision for the future of Kinesiology and the resources that are needed to realize the vision. We inform, advise and engage all who are committed to our mission in ways that are most comfortable for them. Every contribution and volunteer effort is valued, recognized and appreciated by the faculty and staff of Kinesiology.

Our staff works together to build upon our rich heritage and take Kinesiology into the future – with a strong alumni network, and with the resources to continue attracting the leaders and best.
