Master's Program: Ph.D. Preparation Track

Mission Statement

The Mission of the Master's Ph.D. preparation track is to prepare students to continue their studies in a doctoral program. This is accomplished by involving the students in the process of designing and carrying out a research study. Students are encouraged to work closely with a professor in a laboratory or field setting. They take part in generating research questions, collecting and analyzing data, and presenting the results of the study. Thesis research and subsequent writing is closely supervised by a graduate faculty advisor.
