Master's Program: Comprehensive Track
Mission Statement
The mission of the Master's Comprehensive Track is to assist students in developing skills and knowledge related to human movement in order to advance in their professional careers. The individualized program allows for the study of human movement in depth from different perspectives. Working closely with their advisors, students can design programs to meet their particular interests and goals.
Program Description
With few core requirements and several different class options (including, for example, those from Public Health, Medical School, School of Business, Engineering), the strength of this program is its flexibility. The program allows students to develop areas of study to meet their specific interests. Students must complete a minimum of 30 credit hours. These include Philosophy of Science and Research in Kinesiology as well as one graduate-level statistics course taken in a unit other than Kinesiology. Students will also elect at least 9 hours of Kinesiology course work and at least 4 credits of related cognate work in a unit other than Kinesiology.
Academic Requirements as described in the current Kinesiology Bulletin.
