Facilities & Resources

The School of Kinesiology maintains offices, labs and centers, and classroom spaces in three buildings, all within walking distance of each other. Central, medical, and athletic campuses are also nearby.

There are seven Kinesiology classrooms -- four in CCRB, three in Observatory Lodge. Descriptions, AV instructions, and reservations information can be found on the Classrooms page.

The U-M bus system criss-crosses campus, and everyone can ride for free. You can track these buses in real-time via Magic Bus.

Ann Arbor Parking & Bus System

Parking in Ann Arbor can be a challenge, especially on Football Saturdays, during Commencement, and during Art Fair in July. Sites to help you decide where to park:

Ann Arbor's bus service, The Ride, has a comprehensive route network and four Park and Ride lots where commuters can park their cars for free and shuttle to campus. The Ride also offers Mobile RideTrak, so that you can view the location and status of the bus you're waiting for.

Buses serving both the Central Campus Recreation Building (CCRB) and Observatory Lodge include: 1U, 2, 4, 14, 18A, and 609.

The CCRB (Google Map) is on the northeast corner of Washtenaw and Geddes. The closest AATA stops are:

  • CC Little Building (corner Church St. and North University Ave.)
  • Forest Hill Cemetery (corner of Observatory St. and North University Court)

Observatory Lodge (Google Map) is on the southeast corner of Observatory and Washington Heights. The closest AATA stops are:

  • In front of Mosher Jordan Hall (Observatory at Washington Heights, west side); and
  • Across from Mosher Jordan Hall (Observatory at Washington Heights, east side).

Fare: free for U-M students and staff with valid U-M I.D. Others, $1.50 each way. Child and senior discounts available.
